The Chubb Classic: More Than Just a Golf Tournament

By Carson Racich

NAPLES, Fla. – The Chubb Classic is more than just a golf tournament; it’s a celebration of the Naples community and local businesses. This year’s event brought together a diverse array of vendors, both new and returning, along with passionate individuals who played a vital role in enhancing the tournament experience. The presence of these businesses not only added to the event’s atmosphere but also fostered meaningful connections and marketing opportunities.

Walking through the Tito's Champions Lawn, fans enjoyed an eclectic mix of beverages and exhibitors showcasing their companies through interactive contests. One such vendor, Grande Aire Services, engaged attendees with a putting challenge.

"Make one of two putts, and you'll receive a one-year air conditioning preventative maintenance contract with labor," explained Jonathan from Grande Aire Services. "We also have a raffle for a Scotty Cameron putter and a foursome at Tiburón."

Grande Aire Services and Helios Residence Naples, both first-time vendors at the tournament, recognized the benefits of participating after seeing other businesses thrive through sponsorship opportunities.

"We saw so many companies around us enjoying the tournament, so we decided to join in on the action," said Jonathan. "It's our first year, and we love it. What better way to promote our company than in the beautiful setting of Southwest Florida?"

Sharon Soloman from Helios Residence Naples shared similar enthusiasm about the opportunity to be on-site at the Chubb Classic.

"Everyone is coming up to our table, it’s awesome!" she said. "We have a contest, but honestly, our product is selling itself. Fans are drawn to our stunning mural created by Design West and are eager to learn more."

Helios Residence Naples is an emerging luxury condo project designed to offer high-end living at more accessible prices.

"Being here on the Champions Lawn is the perfect way to build our brand and introduce a new lifestyle to people," Sharon said. "Our goal is to show that everyone deserves to live their best life without the hefty price tag."

Adjacent to Helios Residence Naples was Penfolds, an Australian winery and returning vendor at the Chubb Classic.

"This is our second year, and people are starting to recognize our logo," said Xavier Elasencia. "We are growing!"

For fans looking to unwind with a glass of wine, Penfolds offered two selections from their Max series.

"These wines are more entry-level," Xavier explained. "But for those wanting something extra special, we have private tastings featuring our library wines and Pinot, which are harder to find in retail."

A few steps away from Penfolds is the Humane Society Naples and the Paws Around Town Bus which drew a lot of attention, particularly from children.

“We are right across from the puppies!” Xavier eagerly said “There's a routine on the lawn now, families will stop for some wine, go to pet the dogs and then come back for their second cup, It’s great.”

The Humane Society partnered with Chubb for the Healthy Paws Adoption Event and Donation Drive, making it one of the few golf tournaments where fans could adopt a dog on-site. Healthy Paws, A Chubb company, offers pet insurance services for our furry friends.

"We were thrilled to be invited," said Alex Woods, Paws Around Town Coordinator for the Humane Society Naples. "When Healthy Paws was acquired by Chubb, they wanted to support us, and we jumped at the opportunity. They told us to bring our bus full of animals, and that’s exactly what we did—all ready for adoption."

Throughout the week, fans of all ages stopped by to learn more about the Humane Society and to interact with the animals.

"We've been here since Thursday, bringing a new group of animals each day," Alex said. "People see them, their eyes light up, and excitement takes over. Everyone wants to pet them and give them treats."

With a mission to rehome as many animals as possible, the Humane Society also educated attendees on their status as a no-kill shelter.

"We work tirelessly to get every animal adopted," Alex shared. "They are all so sweet and just need someone to love them. One of our 11-month-old German Shepherds, Yolanda, was adopted on Thursday. She had so much energy, and the family that took her home couldn’t resist."

As the Chubb Classic continues to grow, so does its ability to bring together a diverse range of vendors. These businesses and community partners play an essential role in making the tournament a success, ensuring each year offers something fresh and exciting. Whether through innovative products, charitable initiatives, or immersive fan experiences, the event highlights how golf can connect people both on and off the course.
