NAPLES, Fla., Feb. 10, 2023 – 2020 European Ryder Cup captain Padraig Harrington, multiple PGA TOUR winner Brad Faxon and PGA TOUR Champions Q-School graduates Brian Cooper, Richard Green, David McKenzie, Tim O’Neal and Wes Short, Jr. headline the latest commitments to the 2023 Chubb Classic presented by SERVPRO. Taking place Feb. 17-19 at Tiburón Golf Club’s Black Course, the Chubb Classic is Naples’ flagship PGA TOUR Champions event, now entering its 36th year.
Harrington recorded four PGA TOUR Champions wins in 2022, including the U.S. Senior Open and the Charles Schwab Cup Championship, finishing the year second in the Charles Schwab Cup standings. He will make his PGA TOUR Champions season debut and his second-straight Chubb Classic appearance. The 2020 European Ryder Cup captain has 36 professional victories worldwide, including two Open Championship wins (2007, 2008) and the 2008 PGA Championship.
Faxon, an eight-time PGA TOUR and two-time PGA TOUR Champions winner, will be making his 2023 PGA TOUR Champions debut at the Chubb Classic and 12th Chubb Classic appearance overall. One of the newest members of GOLF Channel and NBC Sports’ studio and live tournament broadcast teams, Faxon intends to compete in select PGA TOUR Champions events in 2023 while appearing in key roles for GOLF Channel and NBC Sports.
Joining them in headlining the latest wave of commitments are 2022 PGA TOUR Champions Q-School graduates Brian Cooper, Richard Green, David McKenzie, Tim O’Neal and Wes Short, Jr. All but Short will be making their Chubb Classic debuts.
These players will be among a 78-player field featuring major champions, Hall-of-Famers and past champions competing in the 54-hole championship Friday-Sunday, Feb. 17-19, for a share of the $1.8 million purse. Players have until 5 p.m. ET on Feb. 10 to commit to the Chubb Classic. GOLF Channel will televise all three rounds of play live.
Tickets are now on sale for the 2023 Chubb Classic, including exclusive hospitality and general admission tickets offering a wide degree of entertainment and access. All 2023 tournament tickets will be completely digital and will be emailed after purchase. They can be viewed on either a mobile device or printed out and scanned at the main gate. All military (active, retired, reserve and veteran) and service personnel (police, fire, EMS) and a plus one will receive complimentary admission to the 2023 Chubb Classic, compliments of SERVPRO. Tickets will be available at Will Call tournament week by showing proper identification. The complimentary Hero Outpost tickets must be downloaded in advance from www.ChubbClassic.com and proper ID is required at the main entrance. Children under 18 also will be admitted free into the tournament with a paid adult.

A portion of the ticket proceeds will be donated to local charities throughout Southwest Florida. The Chubb Classic has proudly supported more than 30 charitable organizations since the tournament’s inception in 1988.
Tiburón Golf Club, managed by Troon, the only facility to host a PGA TOUR, PGA TOUR Champions and LPGA Tour event in the same calendar year, features two 18-hole Championship golf courses, The Gold and The Black. The Black Course, which opened in 2001, has a very distinctive look with its pine straw-lined fairways, crushed coquina waste areas and undulating greens nestled amidst acres of pine trees and native Florida foliage. The Black Course is designated as a Certified Audubon Cooperative Sanctuary by Audubon International to protect and enhance its natural surroundings.
