Chubb Classic Gets Deep in the 'Ruff' Again with Healthy Paws Bus Adoption Event

NAPLES, Fla. – While heart and passion largely define the drive of what happens on the course during competition at the Chubb Classic presented by SERVPRO, those two qualities are far from limited to what happens outside the ropes.

Inspired by love, heart and passion for the well-being of dogs and cats in Southwest Florida, for the second consecutive year, the Chubb Classic’s Healthy Paws adoption event and donation drive is equally compelling….and certainly long-lasting.

Acquired by Chubb in 2024, Healthy Paws provides pet insurance for dogs and cats. A leader in the industry, Healthy Paws offers care for over 500,000 cats and dogs across the United States.

"At its core, Healthy Paws pet insurance provides coverage for your furry family members—whether that's a dog or cat," explained Kristin Puramsetti, Senior Vice President and Head of Marketing & Media for Healthy Paws. "I'm a strong believer in pet insurance because emergencies strike without warning. The reality is that roughly one-third of pets experience a major injury annually. When those moments come, we're here to help pet parents get the care their pets need."

Once again, this year at the Chubb Classic, Healthy Paws paired with the Patty Baker Humane Society Naples for a pet adoption event on-site at Tiburón Golf Club Thursday through Sunday.

“I don’t want to say these cats and dogs are the star of the show here this week, because there are some really talented golfers out there on the course, but it has been going great this week,” said Jack Troy, Healthy Paws Marketing Manager. “Everyone wants to come by, say ‘Hi’ and play with the animals. I think everyone could benefit from a little extra love in their life from a furry friend.”

Not only are all ticketholders encouraged to visit the ‘Paws Around Town Bus’ at Tito’s Grove, adjacent to the 18th green, but they can also learn more about Healthy Paws, the Patty Baker Humane Society Naples and, best of all, spend time with pets in need of adoption.

“We’ve partnered with Patty Baker Humane Society Naples to try and get some pets adopted,“ said Troy. “Chubb is waving all adoption fees for the tournament. So, if anyone wants to come up and adopt a pet, it’s free to do so.”

As part of the event, fans will be able to donate to the Patty Baker Humane Society Naples throughout tournament week. The Chubb Classic will match total donations up to $5,000.

“We have been the title sponsor of this event for 28 years, and over those 28 years, this event has become so much more than just a golf tournament,” said Juan Ortega, Executive Vice President, Chubb Group and President, North America Insurance. “At Chubb, we are committed to giving back to the communities we serve, and Healthy Paws' partnership with the Patty Baker Humane Society Naples at the Chubb Classic underscores that commitment.”

“We really believe in protecting pets like they’re family members,” Puramsetti said. “Speaking from personal experience, having that pet insurance really does make a difference. It takes a lot of concern off the pet parents’ minds, allowing you to better enjoy your time with your furry family member.”

“This collaboration with the Patty Baker Humane Society Naples showcases our commitment to helping dogs and cats find loving homes,” Ortega added. “It also offers ways for us to protect our pets, so they can live long and happy lives.”

On behalf of Chubb and Healthy Paws, an initial offering of $5,000 was provided to Humane Society Naples Sunday afternoon.

“It is an honor for us to again partner with Chubb and Healthy Paws, a Chubb Company, to give back and provide a platform for Humane Society Naples right here in our community,” said Sandy Diamond, Executive Director of the Chubb Classic presented by SERVPRO.

The Patty Baker Humane Society Naples is an independent nonprofit organization that serves the public by providing care, shelter and placement into loving homes for animals in the Collier County area through pet adoptions.

At the 2026 Chubb Classic, three dogs were adopted over tournament weekend and found forever loving homes.
