Apply for Media Credentials

To apply for credentials, please visit  Your first time logging in, you will need to select register, type in your information and select a password, or you may log in using an existing social media account.  Your username and password for will NOT work on this new system, but your history with PGA TOUR media credentials remains intact.  Once you are logged in, select “start a new credential request.”  The credential request wizard will guide you through the screens to select the event, staff and resources you require, then you can submit it or save it as a draft for later completion.

Once your credential request has been successfully submitted, you will receive a confirmation email.

Please note that all inside the ropes access will still be handled by PGA TOUR Communications staff members in the media center.

If your request for credentials is approved, you will receive an email with a parking pass attached. Credentials can be collected at the Media Center during the tournament (February 11 – 17, 2019).

ONE APPLICATION PER AUTHORIZED OUTLET. The sports editor, sports director, or photo editor should coordinate and submit the organization’s media credential request and planned coverage. Requests and applications not directly involved in coverage of the tournament will be rejected.

  . National or international golf magazines that regularly provide tournament coverage
  . News and sports magazines that regularly cover golf
  . National radio and television networks
  . Local radio and television stations within the immediate coverage area of the tournament
  . Recognized golf or legitimate news internet sites that change content daily
Per Tour policy, credentials are not allocated to freelance writers or photographers not on assignment.
The PGA TOUR has licensed exclusive television and radio rights to originate live, play-by-play coverage of the event from the golf course. Other radio and television stations or networks may provide news coverage of the event, provided they agree to and abide by the PGA TOUR Media Regulations presented on this site. The sports editor, sports director or photo editor of the Authorized Outlet must accept the appropriate PGA TOUR Media Regulations; no credentials will be issued unless the Regulations are accepted. Each credential issued pursuant to PGA TOUR Media Regulations operates as PGA TOUR authorization allowing only the holder of such credential and the Authorized Outlet therefor to use certain information gathered pursuant to the credential (including photographs, videotape, etc.). Please note that unless authorized by a separate written PGA TOUR authorization, credentialed individuals and Authorized Outlets therefor may sell or distribute such information only as part of the editorial product delivered to end users and not to other organizations or as part of a separate commercial product; provided, however, this credential restriction does not apply to credentialed media representing established wire and news services whose normal business is to distribute information to other news organizations so that such other news organizations may distribute the information to various print and broadcast media organizations to use the information for editorial product. PGA TOUR MAY REVOKE CREDENTIALS AT ANY TIME FOR ANY REASON INCLUDING VIOLATIONS OF ANY OF THE PGA TOUR MEDIA REGULATIONS.
There is a one time account setup that includes Company information, Staff information, and Regulations signing. This information will be stored in the Credentialing system and used for all future credential requests. This site is SSL secured and your information will not be used for any purpose other than tournament credentialing.
The PGA TOUR collects this credit card information to make it easier for you to request reservations on-line for hotels, phone lines, internet connections, etc. through the individual tournament organizations. This credit card information is not processed by the TOUR. Instead, the TOUR simply serves as a central repository of the information.None of the information that you send to this website is retained at the site. Instead, the TOUR uses an industry standard technology called SSL (Secure Socket Layer) and a secure server to receive and forward your credit card information. The SSL encrypts communications between your computer and our servers. This security is designed to enable you to send credit information to the TOUR to minimize the risk of interception. Upon receipt, your information is transferred from this website to a secure server for processing and storage. This server, which is located behind the TOUR’s firewall, is not accessible via the Internet. The TOUR retains your information on file as is needed for standard accounting and other record keeping requirements.
