The Chubb Classic announced that junior golfers from across the country have been invited to participate in the Golf to Paradise—First Tee Champions Challenge presented by the Naples, Marco Island, Convention & Visitors Bureau. This three-day competition, Feb. 16 – 18, gives two participants from 12 different First Tee chapters (24 total participants) an opportunity to play some of the best courses in Naples during the Chubb Classic.
“As the Host Charity of the Chubb Classic, we are excited to once again welcome 11 other First Tee chapters from across the United States to participate in the Golf to Paradise—First Tee Champions Challenge,” said Cindy Darland, Executive Director of The First Tee of Naples/Collier. “Each participant gets the ultimate VIP treatment throughout the week. Some of these experiences include walking inside the ropes with PGA TOUR Champions and playing golf in beautiful Naples.”
During the 2018 event, 24 participants will play a total of nine holes each of the three days of competition with an alternative format each day. On Friday, the teams will play in a scramble, followed by a modified alternate shot on Saturday and closing with a better ball format on Sunday. The following First Tee Chapters have been invited to participate: The First Tee of Naples/Collier (Host Chapter), The First Tee of Greater Philadelphia, The First Tee of Northwest Arkansas, The First Tee of Baltimore, The First Tee of the Triangle, The First Tee of Chicago, The First Tee of West Michigan, The First Tee of Atlanta, The First Tee of Indiana, The First Tee of Pittsburgh, The First Tee of Roanoke Valley and The First Tee of the Twin Cities.
