ACE Group Classic to Become Chubb Classic

Naples’ PGA TOUR Champions Event to be Renamed Following ACE’s Acquisition of Chubb

NAPLES, Fla. –Tournament officials announce that The ACE Group Classic, a PGA TOUR Champions event that has been in the Naples community for 29 years, will be rebranded to the Chubb Classic. This change reflects the acquisition of The Chubb Corporation by 17-year title sponsor ACE Limited, and its adoption of the Chubb name.  The Chubb Classic will be held February 9 – 14, 2016 at the TwinEagles Club in Naples, Fla.

“We are excited to support our title sponsor by following suit with a new tournament name and overall rebrand of the event,” said Tournament Director Matt Hilliker. “Becoming the Chubb Classic allows us to revamp our look within the Naples community and be the first event to showcase the new Chubb corporate brand. The name of the event is changing, but our commitment to delivering the highest quality event and fan experience will not waver.”

The corporate acquisition will only affect the name of the tournament and the rebrand. No ticket pricing, venue, additional events or other details in regards to the overall event will be changed.

The Chubb Classic returns to Naples February 9 – 14 and will feature 81 of the world’s best players battling for a $1.6 million purse. The tournament annually attracts a strong field from the top of the Money List and World Golf Hall of Fame members. Since 1988 the Chubb Classic has raised more than $3 million for charity. The official host charity of the tournament is The First Tee of Naples/Collier.

Tickets for the Chubb Classic can be purchased in advance at a discounted cost of $25 for a daily ticket and $50 for a weekly ticket. Upgraded tickets to The Talon Club are also available, giving ticketholders access to a shared hospitality suite on the 18th green with appetizers, beer and wine included.
